I am so excited to be sharing this blog post with you today! The lovely people over at Well Inked Box kindly gifted me one of their subscription boxes last month to have a play with, and the pages I created from the box are below.

If you are new to Well Inked, they are a quarterly subscription box for creatives, giving you new, craft based tools 4x times a year.

"We are a quarterly subscription box which features creative supplies delivered to your door. Our goal is to encourage creators in various disciplines to step out of the digital realm, put pen to paper, and develop their creative vision. We want to provide you with the basics like you’ve never seen them before; notebooks, pens, pencils and more that will leave you asking “why didn’t I know this was out there?"

The box I received included:

Uni-ball Signo pen  - in white
Sakura gelly roll metallic pen - in gold
Posca paint marker - in green
Pentalic art journal - 160 pages of 120 gsm black paper

This art journal is my first real experience working with black paper, so I was eager to collect all my brightest mediums to try out!

I spent a Sunday afternoon playing around with different materials and trying out the new pens that had come with the box

Chalk pastel - you do get some rub off onto the previous page but I love how textured and pure the colour pay off is

Oil pastel - the texture is smoother and the colour even brighter!

Uni-ball Signo pen - It it an amazingly smooth pen, one I can't wait to try on magazine pages!

Sakura gelly roll pens - somewhat of a cult classic and I can see why! No rubbing or smudging, great nib size and the metallic is a nice subtle effect

A mix of chalk pastel and Posca paint pens. I already have a few Posca's and I love them so much, if you haven't tried them yet.. you need to!

chalk pastel, oil pastel, white signo pen, sakura gelly roll pen

coloured pencil, chalk pastel and oil pastel
