Welcome to Kindness, the newest season of Get Messy

For the next 8 weeks I will be creating art with Get Messy under this lovely theme. I am excited to create small art pieces to leave places for people in the name of Kindness but for now, this week, we're staying in my sketchbook.

When I think of kindness, I think first and foremost of being kind to yourself. Kindness to yourself is time to yourself. Time to enjoy your things alone. For me, I love to watch documentaries and one of the best I've seen is Abstract: the art of design. As a designer and artist, these people are my tribe! I love to hear how they describe their work, passion, inspiration and experiences.

It's a vibrant, exciting and motivating documentary series. I watched Paula Schers episode on graphic design this week and was inspired by her work and quotes to create the pieces in this post.
