GET MESSY 2017 | ART 101 | WEEK 2

As I blogged about last week, we have entered a new get messy season. This one being Art 101. I am trying every tutorial that is taught during the season and focusing more on expanding my knowledge of materials rather than completing "finished" pages. This week Riet wrote a tutorial about creating texture in your pages. Modelling paste featured heavily, which i don't have any of, so I used acrylic to build up layers.

My textured double spread, in an A3 journal

Tools used to create the pages. I especially love using the foam rollers which I got from a local supermarket a few years ago!

  1. These are wonderful and inspiring!

  2. I found myself sinking into the colors and textures of those 2 pages. You did an awesome job of building appealing and beautiful layers!

  3. I love those little rollers too. I am thinking of how I can make them or at least get a similar look. I am drawn to all the black that you use.

    1. Thanks Melody, I love using black as a colour... and you defiantly need some little foam rollers in your art life! ;)
